Fire equipment servicing carried out on a regular basis in accordance with AS1851 ensures that in an emergency it will be in the best possible shape, should it need to be used in the event of a fire.
At Perth Fire, our fire extinguisher servicing is undertaken in accordance with AS1851 by fully qualified and professional service technicians who will come to you and provide you with a professional and friendly service.
In commercial environments, it is a requirement of AS1851 that all fire extinguishers are to be serviced on a 6 monthly basis with specific areas requiring attention on a 1 year and 5 year basis. As well as the requirements laid out in AS1851, your insurance company may expect that your fire equipment is serviced regularly so that you are in compliance with the terms of your insurance policy.
When maintenance work is undertaken, our service technicians will update all maintenance tags as part of our service, this is a requirement of AS1851 – all maintenance tags are updated to show the type of service carried out and the date of the service.
Australian Standard 1851 clearly outlines the requirements for servicing in the several tables that are included. These tables are the basis for all fire extinguisher servicing that is carried out by our service technicians.
